As managers we are all working towards retaining employees. Although our main role may not be that of an HR executive, still we all contribute to retaining employees and training them about their roles. There are 3 key roles that HR executives are supposed to perform:

Recruitment: One of the key roles of HR executives is that you would be required to look into the hiring process entirely. You need to shortlist employees, conduct interviews with respective departments and then negotiate on the salary.

Formulating policies: In order to carry on the organisational culture one needs to formulate policies that would be able to make employees understand the documented rules. They need to understand which kind of policies should be documented in order to give employees a motivational work environment.

Compensation and leaves: HR executives are in charge of the compensation of an employee. They undertake the responsibility to oversee how many leaves are being taken by an employee and if they are adhering to the time of the organisation.
